My Bio

My name is Tom. I grew up in the East End of London in the 1960s, where money was short and the environment tough. To have a chance in this life, it was a case of adapt or fall behind.On leaving school, my father gave me advice I initially resented but spent the next five decades proving right. He said: to succeed in life, work or business - you cannot always be yourself, you need to be who they want you to be. That advice became the foundation of everything I do and have done.I rose to senior management within BMW, founded a national vehicle leasing company, and built an online insurance business from scratch - all built on the understanding that how you choose to show up in any situation is a skill.That skill is called a persona. Most people use personas every day without realising it. I learned to use them deliberately - and it changed everything. Now, through The Persona Advantage, I help others do the same.
